The Cabin Depot has arrived in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland

This past weekend, the heart of Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, experienced a surge of excitement as The Cabin Depot unveiled its new store at 19 Sagona Ave. Sean Kearsey, owner of Island Propane, marked this monumental occasion as the establishment of the second-ever The Cabin Depot location. This moment also marks the start of The Cabin Depot franchise locations opening up all across Canada, making off-grid living more accessible to everyone.

The grand opening festivities were a testament to community spirit and the enthusiasm for off-grid living, with lots of folks asking questions about their new life-style and receiving answers from folks who have helped many others before. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was reserved for Saturday, Mayor Dave Aker of Mt. Pearl made it a point to attend, adding a touch of local charm to the event.

 A major draw for attendees was the chance to win a whopping $10,000 worth of solar equipment, including a solar kit. Over 345 ballots were cast by eager participants during the two-day celebration. The peak of anticipation came on Saturday when K-Rock 97.5, Newfoundland's classic rock hit radio station, joined in to announce our lucky winners live on air.

The event also offered free hotdogs, hamburgers, and refreshing beverages on both Friday and Saturday. It was a feast for the senses that perfectly complemented the warm atmosphere of Newfoundland's community.
